I TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE WITH YOU THE IDEA AND THOUGHT BEHIND SHOE RECYCLE.: OUR COMPANY SHOE RECYCLE WAS ESTABLISHED ON THE 2ND OF MAY 2010, HERE IN KOLKATA. BEING 1ST OF ITS KIND WE GOT GOOD RESPONSE FROM THE PEOPLE OF KOLKATA AS WELL AS THE MEDIA.

Necessity was indeed the mother of invention for Shoes Recycle - a care centre and a luxury spa for shoes that have a value.  

In a city with a population of over a million, there are beauty parlors and spas in every street, there is a dry cleaner and clothes care shop in every block, there are malls selling expensive clothes and shoes in every area, there are scores of footwear shops selling special shoes and NOT TO FORGET KOLKATA IS THE SPORTS CAPITAL OF THE COUNTRY yet there was no place that actually cared for shoes. 

It’s not that there was no demand for such services. An informal survey of over a 100 people revealed that everyone wanted good care for their “good” shoes. When asked about the problems they faced, the answers were many and varied :

My wedding shoes are in good condition but don’t fit any more …….

These are my favorite shoes but now they don’t look smart enough ……

Everyone who had good shoes wanted good care but NOBODY trusted the neighbourhood cobbler.  The reasons being - 

He’ll spoil them for good…..

God knows what material they use ……..

He’ll only discolour the shoe…….

The pasting will peal off in no time…..

The tacks will show and look ugly……….

A Proper Shoe Care Centre has become a necessity and not a luxury in this city

Shoes Recycle is the first of it’s kind in EASTERN INDIA.  The sole purpose of this care centre is to give fresh life to the worn out shoes.   Conveniently located at 39 chanditala Main Road, kol 53 (new alipur)  customers are welcome to call or walk in and see (name) at (no) and  (name) at (no)  for any query on the range of  shoe care services offered.

Shoes Recycle boasts of a workshop that is fully equipped for repair, washing, cleaning and even redesigning of footwear made from any material.
 Starting with as little as Rs.149/- incl tax for cleaning and polishing a pair, the charges can go upto Rs. 1499/- or more for redesigning your favorite shoes to match your current lifestyle.

For the very busy customers, Shoes Recycle also offers a pick up and drop service. The footwear will be picked up from the given address and pre-examined at the workshop. An estimate shall be provided to the customer with suggestions for improvement.  Work will be executed on the basis of customer approval of cost estimate and the final product delivered at the customer doorstep.

Shoes Recycle firmly believes that shoes maketh a man.   A little alteration in the footwear may bring about a major change in the self esteem of a person thereby influencing his life.  We claim that if you give us your tired soles, we will return the spring in your steps.   After all ….the journey of a thousand miles starts with one small step – and a pair of comfortable well cared shoes.

UNIFORM, is nt a punishment , its freedom to be DISCIPLINED

Uniformity, Equality, Secularism all these words seem to be imported from the Civics Book of class 9 and have little relevance in today's context to a " Aam Admi".

Having saying that lets make things simpler , we have placed ourselves in this situation merely because we either are too busy in the race of Bread and Butter or we are Immune to sudden dip in the Non Moral , Unethical and Unreasonable surroundings.

 After a series of Brain Storming with few " Professionals" i came across in the last few weeks i have a thought to share with all of you.  Its uncomplicated, its straight , it might hit u right now. |

Imagine the environment around you is Peaceful, Cleaner, more Sensible and most importantly Happy  . Lets take a small changes at a time and try and change the surroundings for a better tomorrow.

Now fasten your " Head Belts" think as you read :
We were more Disciplined , Quite, Sober when we were in our School UNIFORMS  , our behavior changed when we entered the College and now it has changed a lot since those school era .
The most Common observation says our behavior is Directly Proportionate with the Clothes we are Wrapped.

UNIFORM, some may disagree and many may agree is  Discipline PERSONIFIED , little but significant change we wish to bring in the coming days.

Lets take a common example ,  you leave your house for work, you use Public Transport System to travel , the entire day is ruined if you have a rift with the Cab driver or the Auto rickshaw Driver or the Bus Conductors or etc an unreasonable argumentation involving you and any of them will make you feel miserable and the day will not bring too joy to you.  Now, Imagine these Auto Rickshaw or Rickshaw or bus Conductors wearing a UNIFORM , not  communicating in his usual Arrogant , Loud way of Speaking, no more  abusive instead  Quite, Polite , Humble and Calm in his approach making your start to the day a Peaceful one.
The logic of the above is simple, " Any human being will behave politely if he or she is in a frame of discipline  and this discipline is attained or can be attained by having a normal uniform for him / her, similarly if the respective Public Transport Operators are asked to be in Uniform , it will bring the world of good" said Sheetal Agarwal , a Practicing Human Behavior Counselor. Fortunately , from the last few days i am able to make this small issue raised in every meeting i attend, every get to gather i attend and hence more and more people have joined in to support this movement . Together we wish to bring the above concept bonded by Law and it should be followed by every Public Transporter be it a Rickshaw Puller or a Bus Conductor.

" A Disciplined Bus / Auto Driver means discipline Traffic and Discipline Traffic means less of Accidents , so we should have this approved by the court of Law and make it safe for one and all"  said Manali Bhadouria, Soft Skill Trainer ,Model  .New Delhi.


Universal Law of UNIFORMITY is also taken into consideration, though i strongly feel our nation has evolved from that level of " Racial or Caste" Discrepancies. 

" Yesterday , while my way back home i took a Britain Counter Part of Mine from my  company for a cup of coffee, to my despair the Auto Rickshaw that stopped by us had more flashy and destructing lights than any of the old fashioned Disco , with loud music and to make matter worse the Driver was  Wearing a Torn Skinny t shirt and a " Lungi" , i was so ashamed of it all and wondered what my colleague must have thought about it and my Country. A uniform will undoubtedly clear of the unwanted and UN called for stuffs"  said  Harsh Vardhan Mahipal, Private Bank Executive. Kolkata
